Visiting from outside of Toronto?

Our wedding venue is located in the West Queen West neighbourhood of Toronto, which is west of the downtown core. There are many hotels and rental options such as Airbnb to choose from in Toronto’s downtown core and Greater Toronto Area (GTA). It’s entirely possible to navigate Toronto without renting a car, because services like Uber, Taxi’s, and public transportation (TTC) are accessible and easy to use. However if you interested in renting through a service like Airbnb the venue is accessible from many neighbourhoods using public transit or ride-share services like Uber or Lyft.

Websites like Expedia and Kayak are convenient for booking flights, hotels, and car rentals together as a package.

Transportation

Directions to downtown Toronto from Pearson International Airport (YYZ)

Union Pearson Express runs from Pearson Airport to Union Station in downtown Toronto in just 25 minutes. Adult one-way fare from Pearson to Union is $12.35.

Uber/Taxi there is a specific pick up location for Uber and Taxi rides. Prices vary depending on the distance travelled, number of passengers and time of day. For example, an Uber for up to 4 passengers from the airport to the venue is a 30 minute car ride would costs about $40 during non-peak hours. Download the Uber app.

Bus/Subway/Streetcar is time consuming but cost effective. A single fare costs $3.25 per person and grants you a 2 hour transfer. Locate and board the TTC 900 airport express bus (southbound to Kipling Station) from there you can arrive to your destination using the east-west green line subway. Car Rentals the Pearson International Airport offers rentals from different companies such as Enterprise, Hertz, Thrifty Car Rental. Car rentals can be booked in advance and, similar to air fares, prices fluctuate with demand. Please consider whether your accommodations includes car parking, as paid parking can be costly otherwise. There is a Green P parkade within walking distance of the wedding venue at 36 Lisgar St. which costs $12 for overnight parking.

Accommodations

Toronto has many areas and options for places to stay. Hotels and Airbnb are popular options. Hotels can be a better option for people that value convenience and customer service, or are traveling with a larger group of 5 people or more. Airbnb offers a variety of rentals ranging from 1-bedroom condo’s to entire homes, but for larger groups can be more expensive or located further away. Regardless of the service you choose, make sure to read the reviews before booking to avoid surprises!
